While the Vessel requires a class 3 COC when chartering they have a shore-based charter engineer who is FIFO for charters only, therefore they are flexible on the engineering ticket required for the sole engineer

Although commercially registered, the focus of the vessel is private use.

Terrific opportunity to build up commercial sea time and work on commercial tickets on larger engines (Powered by twin MTU 16V diesel engines)

The yacht has moderate use, with good down time for the crew between trips.

The engineer will have plenty of support in the role from both captain & shore based engineer + additional phone a friend support from the previous sole engineer.

Are you an engineer or deck/engineer interested in a low-key private program cruising Australia?

Ticket requirements: MEC 5 / AEC2 / MED 2 or equivalent (Also STCW and Seafarer Medical)

Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an engineer or deck/engineer on a vessel of similar size.

 

About The Program:

The vessel is currently in New Zealand at the moment but plans to cross over to the Gold Coast in May for the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show and then will be heading up the coast to Cairns, then slowly making its way back down the east coast.

The vessel runs a pretty relaxed itinerary as the boat is up for sale and will be available for viewings.

the owners are also offering a $10,000 bonus when the boat sells

In terms of the other crew, the crew are really active and love diving, swimming, hiking

Are you a chief engineer interested in joining a busy South Pacific charter yacht?

Do you hold a III/3(Y3) or equivalency?

Must have previous superyacht experience

III/3(Y3) or equivalency

Hands on Engineer / good troubleshooting skills

Organised with spares and computer literate.

Strong preventative maintenance skills

Can effectively manage yard times within budget

 

Salary is in USD$ and will be DOE, around industry standard.

 

Start asap with handover

 

The vessel is in the shipyard until mid-March then owner will use locally before heading out to Fiji, then on to Tahiti and French Polynesia where the vessel will be based for the next 2 years.

Full charter with occasional owner use. Already have 9 weeks of charter confirmed, with some repeat clients.

Total Crew of 10, with mixed nationalities.

 

Will do off season in Australia
