The Engineer will be covering the Sole Engineer whilst he takes some annual leave and a few days handover will be given prior to his departure.

The yacht will only have very low guest usage over this time (roughly 6 days) with most of time being spent in dock.

The engineer will crack on with general preventative maintenance and undertake a few small tasks the permanent engineer will handover. (Caterpillar Engines)

As the vessel is commercial the ideal candidate will have an MED 1 or higher (MEC 3, EOOW)

Excellent rates on offer for the right engineer.

While the vessels is hoping for the same engineer for the entire period they will entertain a split between 2 X engineers , pending availability

Position Snapshot

A high profile 40m Private MY is on the search for a sole engineer to join their established program.

The crew largely work a 5-day working week and all maintain a home base in Auckland.

The vessel operates purely around NZ waters mostly fishing, 10 months / year

Mid-winter the vessel heads to Fiji for a guest trip, with gap in between where the engineer has the opportunity to fly back to New Zealand to for a mini break.

Powered by twin MTU engines.

The engineer must be hands on and can assimilate well into a small crew environment where everyone pitches in to get the job done, occasionally assisting on deck

Handover given from outgoing engineer of several years
