An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced 3rd stewardess to join a busy charter yacht that operates in French Polynesia and the Pacific Islands

 

The yacht runs 3 stews in the interior and the 3rd stew must act as a terrific backup to the chief & 2nd stewardess, supporting in both Service & Housekeeping.

 

The vessel has a Christmas charter booked and the 3rd stewardess should be ok working over the silly season

The cook / chef doesn’t necessarily need to be culinary trained but should be well versed in cooking Asian style cuisines.

The food requirement is basic family style, max 10 people but usually lower guest numbers.

The cook/chef has the ability to trial with the crew from the end of December to Mid – February (crew only) with the boss likely being onboard in the months of April, October & November 2026

The vessel is open to making the position a seasonal or full-time role, would be open to extra unpaid leave between guest trips.

Preferably a male chef (if female would need to be comfortable sharing cabins with a male)

The vessel will do some extensive / off the beaten track cruising and the cook will need to be comfortable provisioning in remote locations.

Itinerary includes- NZ, New Caledonia, PNG, Fiji and Micronesia

The bosun should be an all-round waterman with skills preferably in Diving

Position Snapshot

The 60m vessel is based in New Zealand and runs with a crew of 13, winters usually spent in the pacific islands. (Fiji)

The 2nd engineer will be in charge of the planned maintenance and tender maintenance and the chief engineer of 5 years knows the boat well and is happy to teach.

It is a complex vessel with many tenders and toys including a 50ft chase boat to look after. The crew enjoy use of the toys when they can and an interest in watersports is welcomed.

Looking for Y4 level but only requires AEC 1 and 2 or AMSA/NZ equiv. Any trade background is welcomed but this is not a role for someone without experience.

Being NZ based they must have rights to work in NZ. Vessel is well maintained but is 13 years old and all systems are slowly being upgraded when the itinerary allows.

Salary DOE and will be discussed with the captain during the interview process. (paid in NZD)

An amazing opportunity has become available for an experienced superyacht chief engineer to join a 60m expedition / scientific research vessel that is based within Australia between trips away.

Cruising Amazing destinations like Bali / Komodo , PNG region the vessel also spends time in the remote Kimberley.

The vessel is used for a mixture of private owner trips and scientific research.

Past science trips include: deep trench dives in the Indian Ocean & Ocean bed discovery missions in PNG.

Replacing the outgoing chief engineer of several years the chief engineers counterpart has been with the program for some time also , the vessel’s engineering is in excellent shape , operating 2 X rotation Chiefs, 2 X rotation 2nds and 3rd engineer on a 3:1

The vessel largely operates private when in Australia but also operates commercial when in international waters.

Joining in QLD the vessel will head south to complete a short guest trip in Sydney before crossing to New Zealand.

A well run 50m private MY is search of a temp 2nd engineer to join them in NZ for a brief maintenance period.

The vessel’s permanent 2nd engineer will be taking some annual leave and the incoming temp 2nd engineer will be working under an experience chief engineer assisting in projects / maintenance as required.

Requirements are as follows: –

Must hold an AEC or NZ equivalent qualification/licence.

Must have a bit of engineering knowledge (perhaps a trade background or time spent on previous vessels)

Prepared to live onboard the vessel during the time onboard and be part of the watch rota.

Salary: Paid in $US dollars and based on experience

Period: 16th Oct – 16th Nov (1 month)
