A high profile 30m expedition charter/private MY is on the search for an MED 2 leveled engineer / mate to join their professional program.
Joining a fulltime crew of 4, the Engineer will need to possess a minimum of an MED 2 for manning.
The vessel will also support the engineer / mate towards getting their MED 1 after time onboard + sea time.
The owner has an excellent reputation for looking after their crew, being one of several superyachts globally where long-term crew retention is high.
The engineer / mate will work under an experienced captain / engineer and will also receive mentorship from land-based engineers involved within the program.
The role is an excellent opportunity to follow the engineering route and build tickets & experience
The engineer / mate should be happy to assist with basic deck duties from time to time, including bridge watches or jumping in the tender.
The vessel will operate between Sydney & QLD , depending on season
