A well run 34m private MY is on the search for a lead deckhand to join their team.

The yacht is used for private trips only , usually for small guests numbers, mostly odd weekend trips.

The vessel operates a 12m chase tender that the deckhand will be responsible for driving.

The deckhand must have good small vessel handling skills and be across deck maintenance products and vessel upkeep.

 

The vessel can accommodate male or female deckhand candidates and would also be open to an experienced deck/stew looking for more time on deck

 

Ability to undergo daywork as a trial before committing to fulltime / permanent.

 

Will also consider a fulltime seasonal contract , starting now and going through until March 2025 (if the deckhand is looking to head to Europe)

Are you a Deckhand with an AEC looking to join a new build private yacht?

Joining a multinational crew for a very good US owner (Cayman Island flag) the Deck/2nd Engineer should be very enthusiastic and serious about progressing their experience on deck (and in the engine room)

 

The yacht will travel around the Western Mediterranean before making its way to the states with trips around the Bahamas.

 

The yacht will be used for private trips initially, but may look to charter further down the track.

 

Male candidates only , due to cabin arrangements.

 

The owner also has larger yacht ventures on the horizon which could lead to career progression for the right candidate , willing to progress experience & tickets.

 

The vessel is only open to candidates with an engineering inclination (with AEC) who could assist the chief engineer as 2nd

A 32m expedition vessel is on the search for a deck/mate for their travelling program

The yacht is run with a fulltime crew of 5/6 and the deck/mate will work within a highly professional superyacht style team , with plenty of opportunity to learn under an experienced/ approachable captain.

 

The owner loves his fishing / diving and therefore it would be beneficial (not essential) if the deck/mate was comfortable fishing,  taking care of gear, setting up rigs , driving the day fishing / diving support tender, or perhaps accompanying the owner on spearing trips (if a spearo)

 

The fishing is secondary to having good seamanship skills , the right personality and a professional / hardworking approach.

 

The yacht has a terrific reputation, with both personable / friendly / accommodating owners and fun / adventurous / professional crew dynamic.

 

The owner fly’s in/out on various locations with good down time in-between trips.

The deck/mate should have competent tender driving skills, comfortable on bridge lookout and keen to gain some serious sea miles over the next 12 months.

 

Vessel movement plans over the next 12 months-

 

Winter: Cairns – Whitsundays – Gold Coast

 

Summer: Melbourne, Tazzy, New Zealand

 

Autumn: Top end (Darwin) and the remote Kimberley

 

The ideal candidate will have either a few seasons superyacht experience or come from a good commercial / tourism boat background, preferably with tickets
