Position Snapshot

• $120,000-$140,000 AUD / Year + Bonuses + Car + Laptop
• Monday to Friday , 38 hour weeks
• Private yacht fleet

A unique opportunity has become available for a technically minded maritime professional to go shore based in this exciting role in Perth

The engineer / deck will work within a larger management team overseeing a small fleet of private vessels, watersport toys and Jet skis for one owner.

The private yachts are state of the art and range from 30’ up to 100’ and are used mostly for day-style trips in the Perth / Rottnest area.

The engineer/ deck will assist with the fleets overall technical & operational management,  ranging from basic troubleshooting to helping organising periodical yard times and general maintenance issues / yacht upkeep

Specific training will be given on each vessel.

The Engineer/Deck will also have the option to act as crew in a deck / engineer or captain capacity (only if so desired) and can also be involved with the broader international fleet, with some national/international travel

Lots of opportunity for career and role growth.

Core 38 hour week , Monday – Friday with time in lieu or $$ bonuses for any additional by mutual agreement

The Ideal Candidate

• Yacht or Commercial vessel experience
• Technically minded (trade highly favorable)
• Can work well within a larger yacht management team
• Excellent allrounder , enjoys role variety
• Good understanding of both small vessel engineering & deck
• Previous superyacht experience advantageous
• Perth based or willing to relocate
• Looking for longevity and career growth
• High level of professionalism

Salary:  $120,000-$140,000 AUD / Year + Bonuses + Car + Laptop (depending on experience)

Are you a Deckhand with an AEC looking to join a new build private yacht?

Position Snapshot

• AEC + PBL 2 or similar
• $3500-$3800 US / Month + 60 days leave DOE
• Travelling France, Balearics, Corsica / Sardinia & then Bahamas

Joining a multinational crew for a very good US owner (Cayman Island flag) the Deck/2^nd Engineer should be very enthusiastic and serious about progressing their experience on deck (and in the engine room)

The yacht will travel around the Western Mediterranean before making its way to the states with trips around the Bahamas.

The yacht will be used for private trips initially, but may look to charter further down the track.

Male candidates only , due to cabin arrangements.

The owner also has larger yacht ventures on the horizon which could lead to career progression for the right candidate , willing to progress experience & tickets.

The vessel is only open to candidates with an engineering inclination (with AEC) who could assist the chief engineer as 2^nd

The Ideal Candidate

• 1-2 seasons experience on Superyachts
• PBL 2 or similar
• PWC (favorable)
• AEC essential
• Good knowledge of yacht detailing products
• Tender driving skills
• Longevity in previous positions
• Will commit to a dual season superyacht
• STCW
