Position Snapshot

The yacht operates both Private & Charters and has a mixture of both high and low guest numbers pending the type of trip.

The vessel will be heading north at the end of March. Gold Coast for 4-weeks (quick shipyard), up to Whitsundays and FNQ after that. Returning to Sydney Nov/Dec for busy charter season.

Plenty of time between guest trips for turnarounds and crew down time

The position is live onboard and the vessel has the ability to trial someone (on freelance rates) over a guest trip to ensure it is a good fit for all parties.

The 2nd stewardess should be looking to offer a firm commitment to the program over 2025

Working under an experienced chief stewardess, the 2nd stew should be a terrific backup in both service and housekeeping, with a keenness to learn and a positive ‘can do’ personality.

The stewardess should be looking to be an active and social crew member who can emulate the good crew vibes onboard

The Engineer will be covering the Sole Engineer whilst he takes some annual leave and a few days handover will be given prior to his departure.

The yacht will only have very low guest usage over this time (roughly 6 days) with most of time being spent in dock.

The engineer will crack on with general preventative maintenance and undertake a few small tasks the permanent engineer will handover. (Caterpillar Engines)

As the vessel is commercial the ideal candidate will have an MED 1 or higher (MEC 3, EOOW)

Excellent rates on offer for the right engineer.

While the vessels is hoping for the same engineer for the entire period they will entertain a split between 2 X engineers , pending availability

A lovely wholesome family of three are seeking an experienced Senior Housekeeper to help them with the daily management of their home. The family consist of a busy professional couple with an 8-year-old child. There is a nanny who looks after the child, the household provisioning and meal preparation.

Candidates must be comfortable with animals, as there are guinea pigs, mice and chickens. The household are very conscious of their environmental impact and like to use eco-friendly products and methods where possible.

 

Someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for smooth daily operations would be warmly welcomed into this role.

This is a dual role encompassing some household management duties, along with some general housekeeping duties. Ensuring all areas of the home are hygienic, clean, well-presented, and well maintained.

The home is a large property with a regular weekly cleaner in place, so your duties will revolve around:

 

CHILDCARE SUPPORT

Occasional support to the family in childcare responsibilities when either nanny is sick or parents have early meetings, such as taking to or picking up from school, preparing school lunch, providing some supervision if child is at home, etc.

 

WORKING HOURS

Working days would be 4 days a week, Tuesday through to Friday.

16-20 hours per week (4-5 hours per day)

Some additional hours may be required, or flexibility on working hours may be required, from time to time.

REMUNERATION

The hourly rate is $40-$45 + Super, depending on experience and if the candidate would prefer to be employed Part Time or on a Casual basis.

MYS is putting a general callout for deck & engineering crew based in Perth who might be interested in working across a small fleet of private motor yachts.

The vessels are based in Perth and are used primarily for day excursions therefore the crew should have their own accommodation ashore in Perth

The vessel is based in Sydney 9 months / year and typically spends winters away in either the Gold Coast (Yard), Whitsundays or South Pacific Islands.

Over winter the owner often spends time in Europe on his larger superyacht, often coinciding with the Australian vessels yard time on the Gold Coast.

The vessel is a low / moderate use program , averaging 2 trips / month

The chef will be charged to look after both guests and crew and will occasionally cook for the owner at his residence.

The Crew dynamic and owner / chef relationship is excellent and the successful candidate will find themselves in a sought after work environment, offering both lifestyle and progression.

The head chef will have allot of influence over menus and a thorough handover will be given with the outgoing chef.
