A high profile 36m MY is on the search for a seasonal Sole Stewardess for a series of short guest trips around the Indonesian Islands.

The vessel is used privately only and there will be low guest numbers onboard.

There will be two main guest trips with decent breaks before and after , for downtime and snorkeling/ diving fun.

The stewardess will join in Australia a few days before departure to Indonesia.

No guests onboard for passages to / from Indonesia where the stewardess will have time to get her head across the interior and will also be responsible for crew meals.

Guest on trips there is a culinary trained yacht chef that joins who looks after crew/guests and whom the stewardess will work closely with to execute lunch/dinner service.

Prior superyacht experience is essential , must be professional in approach, fun loving attitude who enjoys a small yacht environment where all crew help to provide a 7 star experience for the owner.

Must have working rights in Australia,  a valid passport (6 months) and STCW, ideally located in Australia/ NZ / Asia region for joining

Potential for a permanent position onboard by mutual agreement

The 2nd stewardess will work under an experienced chief stew across service and housekeeping as well as having brief exposure to deck duties.

The vessel is used for private trips only however on occasion will hold larger corporate events and be used in a charter like fashion.

The vessel operates a 12m chase tender that the deckhand will be responsible for driving.

A little about the itinerary:

The boat is currently in a mini refit in Australia and should depart direction Asia in September.

The Yacht will make her way up the East coast of Australia, then onto Darwin, and across to Bali, with some cruising in the region in Indonesia, and ending up in Singapore.

From there it is likely the vessel may be shipped to Europe

 

The owners are American, very nice, but like to be quite involved.

The captain is looking for someone with big boat sailing experience. And a real sailor. They should have at least two or three seasons under their belt. And a solid sailing background. The boat is going to do some miles over the next year, so someone unattached would be better, however open to a possible couple’s position with a chef.

 

The 1st Mate should be able to assist with the final preparations in the yard before relaunch

 

They should have all the usual tickets, yacht master (Preferably Ocean) STCW, ENG1, GMDSS a big plus.

standard SEA contract under UK flag, which amounts to just over 40 days of paid leave, flights. There is a bonus scheme and the owners are lovely and often treat the crew to various ‘experiences’ along the way.

 

The Ideal candidate should have a strong sail background, time on larger sail yachts with good attitude and can get along well with the crew

Fun and professional crew, the vessel has been well maintained mechanically and the chief will continue on with preventative maintenance schedule and general engine room duties on delivery and in dock.

The yacht is run with a fulltime crew of 5/6 and the deck/mate will work within a highly professional superyacht style team , with plenty of opportunity to learn under an experienced/ approachable captain.

 

The owner loves his fishing / diving and therefore it would be beneficial (not essential) if the deck/mate was comfortable fishing,  taking care of gear, setting up rigs , driving the day fishing / diving support tender, or perhaps accompanying the owner on spearing trips (if a spearo)

 

The fishing is secondary to having good seamanship skills , the right personality and a professional / hardworking approach.
