MYS is on the search for a superyacht captain for a recently launched new build, operating on the East Coast of Australia (Sydney home port)
The yacht will be getting into commercial AMSA survey therefore will require an AMSA master 4 or commercial/STCW 500gt captain’s ticket.
The yacht will largely be used for private use with the owner and friends, and whilst available for charter will not be the focus of the vessel.
The owner is one of the best you’ll find, owner of multiple yachts, highly personable and very healthy operating budget.
The captain will work closely with management to ensure an excellent experience onboard for the owner and his guests.
Previous superyacht experience is essential and a crew management style that can create a fun and professional atmosphere onboard.
The Ideal Candidate
- Superyacht Captain Experience on vessels over 30m
- Master 4/ <45m (or commercial 500gt OZ/NZ)
- Experience in Australia or very good programs in Europe/US
- High level of professionalism
- Excellent communication skills
- Effective crew management style.
- Can work well with various stake holders/ management.
- Looking for a long-term commitment
- Working rights in Australia
