Are you an experienced chef looking to go land based in Sydney?
MYS Superyacht Crew is on the search for a culinary trained chef for a high-profile family whose residence resides in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.
Typically catering to only four in the family the chef will also cater to the odd dinner party (usually fortnightly) for guests numbered between 4- 10 guests at a time (buffet style)
For larger house functions the owner tends to rely on external catering in which the chef will help to coordinate.
The family favours a simple but diverse food style including Italian, French, Asian, BBQ, Roast dinners & a variety of salads. No specific allergies or food requirements
Just healthy, clean eating
The residence kitchen is to a commercial standard, with walk in fridges/freezers, combi oven, deep fryers, 6 large gas burners, extra ovens ect (Among other equipment)
The chef will work within a dynamic residence team including housekeepers/service staff and will report directly to the estate manager.
The chef could also be required (on rare occasion) to work on the owner’s day yacht here in Sydney.
Work structure- 5 day working week, (which includes a day on the weekend)
Start times around 1130am and usually finish by 9/9.30.
The ideal candidate will:
• Be culinary trained
• Have a background on Yachts, private residences for good calibre restaurants
• Longevity in previous positions
• Be based in Sydney or willing to relocate (accommodation/transport not provided)
• Flexible working style and can adapt to changes well
• Be able to work flexible hours, more or less when required
• Be presentable and maintain a good level of hygiene in the kitchen
Salary: 100k DOE
