A high-profile family are on the search for an executive yacht chef to go land based in Sydney.
The position will primarily focus on catering for the owners needs whilst spending time on their local superyacht, however some occasional residence work may be required.
There is fabulous staff longevity with this family and the chef should be looking to settle into this position for several years, forging a long-term working relationship
The yacht is used for private trips in Sydney harbour & Pittwater with the family and close friends.
Culinary preferences are quite diverse, everything from Italian to Pub Gastro, to Mediterranean to Asian. Owners preference sheets/ menu samples can be provided.
As the yacht and residence are based in Sydney it is the requirement for the chef to have their own accommodation ashore in Sydney, but will obviously stay onboard when the yacht is in use
The Chef will have assistance during busier periods, predominantly a 5-day working week
There will be the opportunity to trial at the residence in June for a test run
The Ideal Candidate
- Culinary trained
- Superyacht chef experience on vessels 40m+
- Can adapt menu’s to owners’ requirements
- Looking for a long-term commitment
- Can meet some dietary requirements
- Full work rights for Australia
- Own accommodation in Sydney (or willing to obtain)
Start Date– Trial in June, flexible for fulltime
Salary– Depending on experience, $100,000 AUD / Year + Superannuation
