A high-profile superyacht owner is seeking a chef for his incoming superyacht
The role will be primarily yacht based but the chef may get called in on occasion for the odd residence dinner or business lunch.
The chef will live off the yacht when there are no guests trips and should have their own accommodation in Sydney
The yacht will look to be based in Sydney for the majority of the year and will undertake a relaxed cruising program around Sydney harbour and Pittwater regions.
When the yacht is out the chef will share a cabin with the chief stew therefore female chefs will be given preference.
The chef will be employed under a permanent / fulltime contract but the working week will be 4 days / week ongoing.
As the yacht will not be used every weekend the chef will need to adopt a flexible approach to their employment and happy to assist in other duties outside of the scope of cooking (to be discussed)
The Ideal Candidate
- Culinary Trained
- Superyacht background preferred.
- Experience in Mediterranean influenced cuisine + modern Australian
- Can source only the best produce and meat cuts
- Looking to affirm a long-term working relationship with owner.
- Can work closely with house manager & captain
- Work rights for Australia
Start: Flexible (can wait for notice period)
