Are you a culinary trained chef looking for a terrific summer contract in Sydney?

  • $450-$500 AUD / day + more $$$ for public holidays & major dates

A very high-end residence in Sydney’s eastern suburbs is on the search for a relief Head Chef over the Sydney summer holiday period

The fulltime Residence chef will be taking some well-earned holidays and is looking for someone to relieve her over this period

The kitchen is fully equipped and functional and the chef will have a range of equipment to use at their disposal (can bring own knives, but not essential)

The family are extremely personable / down to earth (with children) and enjoy a variety of cuisines (but nothing fancy) with an emphasis on healthy, clean, home cook style (shared plate/dishes)

Someone familiar with the Keto diet, who can also cater to one of the children who is vegetarian.

The family will be home for the summer period and will occasionally have friends and guests join them for meals

The chef will typically cater for around 8 guests but must be confident to cook for up to 15

Must be available for all of the major dates, including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day .. where of course the day rate will increase

Days off will be given in between guest activity however the chef should expect to work anywhere between 5 -7 days / week over this period

Terrific opportunity for a chef looking to work hard and save some good money on freelance rates over the Sydney summer.

The chef will cater for lunch and dinner only, but will be responsible for the provisioning of breakfast

Full residence team support including service & housekeeping staff

(Preference to candidates who would be available to trial for a day in June or July)

  • Culinary Trained
  • Experience in private residences or Superyachts
  • Personable with guests
  • Very professional with a strong work ethic
  • Can maintain a clean workstation and stores
  • Experience with provisioning in Sydney
  • Can work a flexible schedule
  • Understanding of the KETO diet
  • Good with children
  • Could cater for the occasional business lunch  
  • Own accommodation in Sydney
  • Work rights for Australia / NZ

Salary- $450-$500 AUD / Day (for regular days) , TBN for special dates

Duration- 25th November – 10th January (with hand over from fulltime chef)

Trial– 1 day in June or July (to work alongside fulltime chef)
