Are you a cook/ stew or chef interested in spending 6 months in the Whitsundays & 6 months in the top end of Australia?

A family orientated private 30m MY is on the search for a cook / chef to join their team  

While stationed in Darwin the family hopes to explore the Kimberley down to Broome and the Rowley Shoals, Peron Island and the Cobourg Islands.

Trips whilst in Darwin will largely be sunset harbour dinner cruises.

The cook / chef will cater for basic sit down meal for guests ( low numbers )

The chef will also cater finger food / canapé for any larger cruises / functions involving 20+ guests

The other half of the year the yacht will be based in the Whitsundays/ Airlie/Hamilton Island region

There will be watersports emphasis on the yacht and the cook should be fun, energetic, and looking to promote an active schedule. (jet skis, fishing, spearfishing)

The cook / chef will share a cabin with the stewardess

The yacht also houses a large tender that will be used for day trips / beach excursions

The yacht is run with 3 fulltime core crew + additional crew for deliveries

The Ideal Candidate

  • Cooking experience either yachts / restaurants / chalets
  • Clean / healthy food focus
  • Can cook their strengths and develop menus
  • Can work well with the confines of a small yacht
  • Can provision accordingly
  • Enjoys offshore cruising
  • Can work well within a small team
  • Enjoys personable and diverse guest interactions
  • Located in a non COVID hotspot
  • Work rights for Australia

Salary- Depending on experience level
