A well run private 48m MY is currently taking expressions of interest for the position of Chief Officer/ Relief Captain

2019 itinerary includes New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands and PNG

2020 itinerary will focus predominantly on the Indonesian Islands

The yacht will be towing a 33’ Intrepid Open (experience in a boat of similar size is advantageous but not essential as the Bosun is the primary keeper of the Intrepid)

The owner is English, very friendly and down to earth, busy family and friends orientated trips (12 Pax usually). Typically aim for 8 X 2-week trips per year

Diving: Owner is heavy into diving (although basic diving), the yacht would expect some experience in this field as they would be expected to maintain the equipment and also accompany guests on occasions.

The captain is looking for a right-hand man who he can depend on, the ability to be able to relieve as captain will rely on the fact that he/she can run the boat, therefore promising drive time wherever time and conditions allow.

Someone the captain can bounce ideas off with regards to Navigation, Weather, Itineraries etc.

As a senior crew member, the expectation would be for the CO to act responsibly and set an example for the rest of the crew, a guy/girl who enjoys a casual beer but is not a party animal.

Certificate- OOW minimum, but would prefer Chief Mate, 500 gt or higher

Salary and Benefits: to $7500 USD per month DOE to start. Full medical insurance. 38 days paid leave for first year, 44 for subsequent years. $1400 USD flight allowance, increased to $2000 for subsequent years.
